Pay:

  • $13.00/hour + tips for tours & bottle shop
  • $20.00/hour + commission for field sales
    Part‐time · Approx. 25–30 hours/week

Position Overview

BHAWK is seeking a versatile, high‐energy team member who can confidently represent the brand both on‐site at the distillery and in the field. This hybrid role blends hospitality, education, retail operations, and professional field sales.

You will lead immersive distillery tours, deliver exceptional guest experiences, support bottle shop operations, and execute ABC tastings and on‐premise account development throughout the territory. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, comfortable in both lively guest‐facing environments and independent field‐sales work.

Core Responsibilities

Distillery Tour Guide (Southern Pines)

  • Lead engaging, accurate, and energetic tours through production, barrel, and tasting areas.
  • Share the BHAWK story, whiskey‐making process, and product knowledge with confidence.
  • Demonstrate tasting techniques and educate guests on flavor profiles and distillation methods.
  • Adapt tour style to different group sizes, energy levels, and guest needs.
  • Assist with private tours, VIP groups, and special events.
  • Promote responsible alcohol consumption and uphold all safety regulations.

Bottle Shop & Retail Operations

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with product selection and purchases.
  • Offer personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing retail environment.
  • Restock shelves and merchandise displays as needed.
  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
  • Support merchandise sales, gift sets, and seasonal promotions.

Territory Sales Representative (Craven/Carteret/Pamlico)

  • Execute 8+ ABC tastings per month during required windows (Thu PM, Fri PM, Sat PM).
  • Build relationships with ABC store managers, restaurant managers, and bar teams.
  • Conduct 4–6 on‐premise account visits weekly to secure placements and drive reorders.
  • Identify and execute field marketing events (festivals, charity events, community activations).
  • Provide brand education to bar and restaurant staff.
  • Submit weekly structured reporting (visits, tastings, placements, pipeline, mileage).

Schedule Requirements

This hybrid role requires consistent availability for:

Distillery Tours & Retail (Flexible)

  • Weekday daytime or weekend daytime availability
  • Occasional event support

Field Sales (Non‐negotiable)

  • Thursday: 4–7 PM
  • Friday: 1–4 PM and 4–7 PM
  • Saturday: 1–4 PM and 4–7 PM
  • Weekday daytime hours for account visits

Total weekly commitment: 25–30 hours, depending on tour volume and sales activity.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Working knowledge of bourbon
  • Physically capable of lifting cases, setting up tastings, and leading tours
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
  • Familiarity with the NC ABC system preferred; willingness to learn required
