Job Summary and Qualifications
The Echo Technician performs cardiac ultrasound without supervision to include but not limited to M-Mode, 2-Dimensional, Doppler and Color Doppler studies. Technicians will be proficient in performing Transesophageal and stress echocardiograms. Studies will be performed on neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Technicians will have technical skill of studies as well as instrumentation, maintenance of equipment function and safety policy and procedures.
What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • College or technical training program for echocardiography preferred One year experience in Echocardiography preferred
  • Pediatric echo registry highly preferred
