Finance Analyst Intern
As a participant in Bayer's North America Finance Summer Internship Program, you will engage in a 12-week immersive experience, working on meaningful business projects that build your analytical and business partnering skills; you will contribute to real business outcomes across multiple Finance functions, including Accounting, Treasury, Tax, R&D Finance, Product Supply Finance, and Commercial Finance, while developing financial acumen and professional skills.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
  • Support financial reporting, data preparation, analysis, and business presentations that help communicate financial results and insights;
  • Assist with dashboard development, Excel-based models, spend reports, forecast simulation tools, and other financial analysis resources;
  • Contribute to Accounting, Treasury, and Tax activities, including cash flow analysis, letter of credit support, financing program support, tax documentation, and transfer pricing analysis;
  • Support Finance activities connected to R&D, Product Supply, and Commercial Finance, including metrics tracking, dashboards, trend analysis, and business partner support;
  • Collaborate with finance professionals and cross-functional stakeholders while building business acumen, communication, networking, analytical, and presentation skills;
  • Gain exposure to a broad range of Finance activities across Bayer's North America organization, aligning internship assignments based on business priorities, organizational needs, and candidate interests.

WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with finance or accounting coursework completed;
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and interest in financial reporting, business analytics, and data-driven decision-making;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI, dashboards, ERP systems, or other digital tools is a plus;
  • Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in ambiguous situations while seeking guidance and learning from others;
  • Strong communication, networking, presentation, and teamwork skills; demonstrates digital fluency and awareness of responsible AI and data privacy practices;
  • Working knowledge of generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar), including the ability to develop effective prompts, evaluate outputs critically, and apply AI responsibly in business scenarios.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $20.75 to $54.25. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
