Job Description

The Sr. Automation Controls Engineer will work closely with the Automation Engineering team to commission and correct issues with our DeltaV system. This role involves testing and witnessing commissioning tests to ensureall corresponding applications are correctly integrated with the DeltaV system. The Engineer will be responsible for upgrade, verification, and validation of systems to ensure functionality. Upgrades and testing will be performed at the Muskegon, MI site. Experience executing validation protocols in a GMP industry is highly desired. This position is part of the Automation Engineering Team and will be based in Muskegon, MI

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission DeltaV and integrated applications.
  • Ensure compatibility of applications, including Rockwell FactoryTalk, PI, and PAS-X , data acquisition and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Perform testing of updates; document findings in compliance with GMP.
  • Deploy upgraded systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Execute Installation and Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) protocols.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor"s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of DCS configuration and development using Emmerson DeltaV.
  • Expertise in application testing with integrated applications.
  • Experience with life science or chemical manufacturing equipment, controls, reactors, fluid handling equipment, filters, and purification equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in FDA-regulated industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with ISA 88 batch processing and Purdue model.
Travel

Ability to work full time, in person in at the Muskegon, MI site.
