Position Summary

Clear Cloud Solutions is a fast-growing Security Systems Integration, Low Voltage, and Electrical Contracting company located in Southern California, specializing in Security Systems Integration, IP Video Surveillance, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Low Voltage Cabling, and Perimeter Security Systems in the commercial, industrial, and government sectors.


Clear Cloud Solutions is seeking a Physical Security Systems Engineer to conduct programming, commissioning, and advanced troubleshooting of IP Video, Access Control, and enterprise electronic security systems.


This role is responsible for head-end configuration, multi-platform system integration, technical escalation support, and continuous standards improvement. The ideal candidate can rapidly learn and operate across multiple access control and VMS platforms while ensuring system stability, cybersecurity alignment, and technical execution excellence.

Core Responsibilities

Head-End Programming & Commissioning

  • Program, configure, and commission enterprise Access Control and VMS platforms
  • Integrate multi-site systems and complex database builds
  • Configure user roles, partitions, policies, schedules, alarms, and reporting
  • Validate firmware, patching, and cyber hardening alignment
  • Perform QA/QC of panel builds and head-end deployments

Advanced Troubleshooting

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation support to field technicians
  • Diagnose database, firmware, controller, and integration-level issues
  • Work directly with manufacturer support to resolve escalated cases
  • Open and manage manufacturer tickets when required
  • Perform forensic troubleshooting of intermittent system failures

Engineering & Standards Contribution

  • Contribute to system standards development
  • Provide structured feedback to estimating and engineering teams
  • Assist in final BOM validation and gap analysis
  • Support RFI/RFP technical discovery
  • Ensure builds align with company cyber and deployment standards

Field & Client Interface

  • Conduct site surveys for electronic security and low voltage systems
  • Attend project meetings when technical leadership is required
  • Train customers on commissioned systems
  • Mentor technicians and junior engineers

Technical Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on experience programming enterprise access control and VMS systems
  • Proven experience commissioning head-end systems
  • Strong understanding of:
  • TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • VLANs and firewall basics
  • Server-client architectures
  • Windows Server environments
  • SQL database fundamentals
  • Experience with system migrations and upgrades
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
  • Ability to pass federal background check
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Gallagher, LenelS2, Identiv, CCURE 9000, HID, Idemia, Hirsch
  • Milestone, Avigilon, Verkada, Geutebruck, Axis, Hanwha
