Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to support enterprise-wide cloud and SaaS security initiatives across multi-cloud environments.
Summary:
This hands-on engineering role focuses on designing, implementing, and automating security controls for Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and business-critical SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will combine deep cloud security expertise, infrastructure automation, identity management, and threat detection capabilities to improve security posture, reduce risk, and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures, landing zones, guardrails, and security baselines across multiple cloud providers
* Secure cloud identities, privileged access, service accounts, secrets management, and entitlement governance
* Develop and enforce network security controls, segmentation, Zero Trust principles, cloud firewalls, and secure connectivity solutions
* Manage cloud-native security platforms, posture management, vulnerability remediation, and threat detection capabilities
* Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
* Secure containerized, serverless, and SaaS environments through proactive security controls and governance
* Automate cloud security processes using Infrastructure-as-Code, policy-as-code, APIs, scripting, and SOAR technologies
* Partner with infrastructure, IAM, application, and cybersecurity teams to deploy and maintain enterprise security controls
* Support audit, compliance, and governance initiatives through continuous monitoring and automated evidence collection
* Utilize AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to improve security analysis, alert triage, reporting, and operational efficiency
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity engineering, or cloud infrastructure engineering
* Strong hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and at least one additional cloud platform (Google Cloud or OCI)
* Experience with cloud identity management, IAM, MFA, privileged access, and non-human identities
* Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, CIEM, SIEM, SOAR, and cloud-native security platforms
* Knowledge of cloud networking, Zero Trust architecture, containers, serverless technologies, and hybrid environments
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOX, and security best practices
* Proficiency with Terraform, Python, PowerShell, and automation frameworks
* Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, or similar are preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
