Job description

Airswift is looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to support a major client in Spring, TX on a 12-month
Schedule: 5/40
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Classification expert to own the accurate assignment and maintenance of global tariff codes (HS/HTS/HTSUS) and export codes (Schedule B, ECCN) across our product catalog. This role ensures compliant classification to be used on all import/export declarations.
The ideal candidate combines technical classification methodology with strong cross-functional communication and audit-ready documentation practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Reduce duty overpayments/penalties and avoid clearance delays.
  • Standardize classification across SKUs, countries, and incarnations (kits, spares, refurbished).
  • Support new product introductions, free trade agreement (FTA) eligibility, and broker governance.
Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar; relevant experience will be acceptable as well
  • 3+ years of experience with trade compliance operations or similar background
  • Oil and gas experience or Chemical background highly preferred
  • Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, MS Office Suite and SAP
  • CLB and CCS license will be a plus
