Job description

Beyond 21st Century Beauty Academy is a leading beauty school in Southern California. Established in 1997, we are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS) and offer cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, and manicuring courses. We are looking to hire a passionate cosmetology instructor to join our growing team. Responsibilities for Instructor

  • Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities

  • Prepare lesson materials, grade assignments, manage the classroom, and evaluate and give feedback to students

  • Exercise open and respectful communication with students, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff

  • Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements regularly and provide progress reports as required

  • Create and keep records on attendance, accidents, incidents, and other noteworthy events

  • Manage student behavior

  • Prepare students to pass their state board exam

  • Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus

Qualifications for Teacher

  • Current California cosmetology license

  • 2+ years of salon experience

  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally

  • Physical ability to handle frequent standing, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the room
