Job description

PART-TIME COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR

Highland Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Cosmetology Instructor for the Spring 2026 semester. The scheduled days and hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This position requires an Illinois Cosmetology License and Cosmetology Teaching credential. Qualified candidates must have a willingness and ability to teach the set of cosmetology courses offered by the college. Experience in teaching and previous salon work is preferred.

Application is not complete until the following materials are submitted: cover letter, resume/CV, copies of transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable for the purpose of application), three current professional letters of recommendation, a Statement of Teaching Philosophy. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.

Salary range: $31.66 - $36.59 per hour.
