Credit Representative

Salary Range $62,000.00 - $72,000.00 Salary/year Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Travel Percentage None

Description

Candidates who reside outside commuting distance of our Huntington Beach office may be eligible for remote work. Candidates who reside within commuting distance are expected to work onsite.

Summary: The Credit Representative is responsible for collecting accounts receivable through collection calls and correspondence in an automated environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Problem solves and negotiates payment plans.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and assists with the approval of customer credit.
  • Review credit hold orders and determine appropriate action within standard credit department procedures.
  • Research and document problems and solutions.
  • Regularly evaluate customer financial data and payment history to evaluate credit exposure.
  • Resolves grievances between Sales Representatives and customers.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Accounting software; Internet software and Order processing systems.
