Northrop Grumman Enterprise Classified Solutions is seeking a senior level Cisco Voice Engineer that has experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco voice solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VoIP technologies, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and related voice technologies.

*This role will require the selected candidate to be 100% onsite at one of the following Northrop Grumman work locations: Redondo Beach, CA; Rolling Meadows, IL; Roy, UT; Melbourne, FL; Linthicum, MD; Chandler, AZ; or Huntsville, AL.

Job responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Design and implement Cisco voice solutions, including VoIP, VTC, VQ, CMS, Jabber, and other unified communications systems.

  • Develop and maintain complex dial plans, route patterns, translation patterns, route lists, groups, and calling search spaces.

  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) routers for SIP trunking and inter-site voice routing.

  • Support and troubleshoot video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, including Cisco Telepresence, Room Kits, and integration with third-party platforms.

  • Monitor and optimize voice/video quality using tolls like Cisco VQM, RTMT, and third-party monitoring platforms.

  • Perform routine system upgrades, patches, and backups for UC platforms.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice-related issues in a timely manner.

  • Manage UCCX for multiple teams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice solutions with existing systems.

  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT staff.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to voice communications.

  • Plan, manage, and implement complex voice designs in support of customer requirements.

  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

  • Support teams in project designs to clarify project requirements and provide design solutions, in accordance with standards.

  • Perform troubleshooting analysis of voice infrastructure and associated systems.

  • Document voice hardware and software technology components.

  • Install and configure Cisco voice hardware/software and accompanying technologies.

  • Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of voice problems, and periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.

  • Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

  • Interface regularly with customers and manage customer installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful deployments.

  • Manage timely resolution of all critical and/or complex problems meeting SLA requirements.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

  • Work after hours and weekends as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 10 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Current U.S. Government 8140 (8570 equivalent) IAT level II baseline certification (example: Security+ CE).

  • Applicants must have a current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered.

  • Must haveexperience with designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with Cisco hardware(routers, switches,and firewalls).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CCNP Voice or CCIE Voice.

  • Current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance, SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, or previous experience managing small teams.

  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and security principles.

  • Experience with VQ Conferencing.

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
