Your Role as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer, submitting a DOT inspection report detailing the vehicle's condition.
  • Safely connect your assigned tractor to a loaded trailer and transport it from our Sidney, OH warehouse to an affiliated location, assisting with the loading and sorting of pre-palletized products during priority appointments.
  • Typically handle two routes per week, with an average route duration of 28 hours. Team operations mean approximately 50% of your time will be spent in the berth.
  • No ramp unloading required.
  • All necessary equipment is provided, and tractors are well-maintained, with an age of less than three years.
  • Verify the accuracy of the bill of lading and store keys during off-hour deliveries.
  • Drive the tractor-trailer to the destination, utilizing knowledge of commercial driving regulations and vehicle maneuvering skills.
  • Maintain a driver log (manual or Peoplenet) in compliance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions.
  • Unload the trailer and deliver products to customer locations.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications for a CDL-A Teammate:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A).
  • Have a minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Meet our organization’s MVR and risk rating standards.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level necessary for effective and safe job performance, including understanding work instructions and safety protocols.
