DESCRIPTION
About Dodd Camera and the Position:
Dodd Camera was founded in 1891. Still family owned after all these years, we operate 7 stores located in Cleveland, Chicago, Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati. We are a photographic specialty dealer offering the latest in DSLR & Mirrorless camera gear, professional lighting equipment, accessories, digital lab services, and fully stocked rental departments at select locations.
We are looking for a reliable sales associate to aid in the overall sales process and create the ideal customer experience while doing so. This is a full-time position for a store that is open 7 days a week. Compensation starts at $12/hr with commissions. Dodd Camera offers a competitive medical benefit packages, retirement plan with employer match, and paid vacation which would be available for this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner; provides outstanding customer service.
  • Advises and assists customers with their choices of product for themselves and for gifts.
  • Utilizes various selling techniques to increase sales.
  • Accurately completes sales using POS system according to established procedures.
  • Stocks and cleans the store for the best sales appearance and ease of use for the customer.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of all merchandise in selling area to effectively assist customers with accurate information; keeps current as new product lines are introduced.
  • Assists with merchandising efforts, displays, and floor moves as needed.
  • Utilizes customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills, and other sales generating skills.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
