Job description

Position Summary:

As a Liquor Room Attendant at Keeneland Hospitality, you are responsible for organizing, stocking, and distributing all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage inventory to bars and service areas throughout the property. You play a critical support role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product rotation, and compliance with safety and alcohol handling procedures. Your reliability and attention to detail ensure smooth and efficient beverage operations during Keeneland’s live race meets and special events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, organize, and store all beverage inventory in the liquor room according to company procedures.
  • Accurately pull and stage liquor, beer, wine, and mixers for bar setups and replenishments.
  • Ensure all products are labeled, rotated, and stored safely to meet health and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, including requisitions and returns.
  • Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the liquor room at all times.
  • Follow all policies related to alcohol handling, storage, and distribution.
  • Communicate inventory needs or shortages to the Beverage Manager.
  • Assist with loading and transporting products to bar locations as needed.
  • Adhere to Keeneland’s standards of professionalism, accuracy, and hospitality support.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Be able to lift and move boxes, kegs, and cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Have basic math and inventory tracking skills.
  • Be able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during Keeneland’s race meets and events.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Preferred previous experience in bar, warehouse, or inventory-related roles.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or requisition forms.
  • Knowledge of liquor and beverage products and handling procedures.

Licensing Requirements:

  • A valid Fayette County Food Handler’s License is required for all food and beverage staff. Must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift.
  • A Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers. This license will be provided to you on behalf of Keeneland upon hire.
