Commission Auto Body information

What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

In the auto body industry, highly experienced collision repair shop owners or managers with extensive expertise and a large client base can earn around $300,000 annually. Typically, such high earnings are associated with business ownership, specialized skills, or working in high-volume, high-end repair facilities. Most auto body technicians and estimators earn less, with top earners reaching this level through years of experience and advanced certifications.

Can auto techs make 200k?

Auto body technicians can potentially earn $200,000 or more annually with extensive experience, specialization in high-demand repairs, and working in high-income regions or for high-volume shops. Achieving this level often requires advanced skills, certifications, and a strong reputation in the industry.

What is the highest paying job in auto body?

The highest paying roles in auto body work are often shop owners, collision repair shop managers, or specialized technicians such as auto body estimators and advanced paint technicians. These positions typically require extensive experience, certifications, and strong management or technical skills, and they can earn six-figure salaries in some markets.

How does commission work in auto body?

In auto body repair jobs with a commission structure, technicians earn a percentage of the revenue generated from the repairs they complete. This often incentivizes efficiency and quality, and commissions can be combined with hourly wages or bonuses based on performance. Knowledge of tools, parts, and repair procedures is essential for maximizing earnings in a commission-based auto body role.
