Senior Residential Architect Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for high-end residential remodels and renovations, translating client goals into functional, highly crafted, and aesthetically distinctive spaces.
- Guide clients through design visioning, presentations, decision-making, and project development.
- Shape project design quality while helping elevate the firm's creative identity and market reputation.
- Collaborate with internal design, project management, technical, and construction teams to ensure design intent, constructability, and execution remain aligned.
- Conduct site visits and design reviews to support construction, solve design challenges, and maintain project quality.
- Support business growth through client relationships, referrals, design leadership, and a commitment to exceptional homeowner experiences.
Senior Residential Architect Qualifications:
- Licensed Architect required
- 10+ years of residential architecture experience with a strong portfolio of high-end residential renovations, remodels, older homes, and custom residential work.
- Proven ability to lead clients through design visioning, presentations, and complex project decisions with a passion for design excellence, construction realities, craftsmanship, and creating a positive, high-trust client experience
- BIM proficiency required; ArchiCAD experience is preferred, Revit or similar platforms also considered.
- Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, and client relationship skills.
- Entrepreneurial, growth-minded approach with interest in long-term impact and potential future equity participation.
Benefits
- Ownership track potential for the right long-term fit.
- Competitive base salary starting at $160k + commission opportunities.
- Annual bonus, typically in the 5–15% range.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Paid time off and paid holidays.
- Collaborative, design-focused, inclusive environment.
- Opportunity to become a visible creative force within an established residential design-build firm.
