Position: Interior Engineer - 11020
Position Type: W2 Contract- No Benefits

Job Description:
Develops interior equipment specifications, interior maintenance programs and specifications. Investigates reliability/serviceability problems, and designs/develops corrective actions. Provides technical interface with manufacturers and suppliers. Develops Engineering Orders to modify aircraft interior equipment and/or configurations. Provides engineering support to Flight, Marketing, Quality Assurance and Aircraft Production in addition to supporting engineering related programs and objectives.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BS/MS Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Zero to five years' experience in aircraft engineering or related experience.
  • Familiarity with aircraft interiors, regulatory requirements and AA engineering practices preferred. 
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and work well with other groups.

Top 3 to 5 skillsets / years of experience :
  • BS is Engineering (required, not Engineering Technology and not Engineering Management), Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with airline processes and procedures. AA experience preferred.
  • Experience with aircraft cabin electrical systems, WIFI, and/or IFE systems.
