1-800 WATER DAMAGE of Tempe / West Chandler is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Business Development Representative to help grow our presence throughout the East Valley. This role is focused on building long-term referral partnerships with insurance agents, property managers, plumbers, HVAC contractors, roofers, real estate professionals, commercial property owners, and other key referral sources.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys networking, creating relationships, and representing a trusted local restoration brand. This is not a high-pressure sales position. Success comes from building genuine partnerships, providing value, and becoming a trusted resource within the community.

Responsibilities
Business Development & Networking
- Generate new referral relationships throughout the East Valley.
- Conduct in-person visits to insurance agencies, property management companies, plumbing companies, HVAC contractors, roofing companies, real estate offices, and commercial properties.
- Schedule and attend networking events, chamber meetings, BNI meetings, trade shows, and community events.
- Set up coffee meetings, lunch meetings, and office presentations with prospective partners.
- Deliver company presentations and educational information regarding restoration services.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with referral partners.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain a pipeline of referral partners.
- Develop strategic partnerships that generate recurring opportunities.
- Serve as the primary relationship contact for referral sources.
- Identify ways our company can support and add value to partner businesses.
- Maintain regular communication with existing referral accounts.
Marketing Support
- Distribute marketing materials, promotional items, and educational resources.
- Coordinate participation in community events and sponsorship opportunities.
- Gather testimonials, reviews, and success stories from partners.
- Collaborate with leadership on marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives.
CRM & Reporting
- Document all partner interactions and opportunities in CRM.
- Track sales activities, meetings, and referral generation.
- Provide weekly activity reports and pipeline updates.
- Participate in weekly sales and strategy meetings.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of outside sales, business development, account management, or relationship-building experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable networking and meeting new people daily.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM software.
Preferred
- Experience in restoration, construction, insurance, property management, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, or related industries.
- Existing relationships within the East Valley business community.
- Experience with networking organizations such as BNI or local chambers of commerce.
- Knowledge of insurance claims and property restoration processes.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, successful candidates will:
- Establish a consistent schedule of partner visits.
- Build a strong referral pipeline.
- Become actively involved in local networking groups and events.
- Schedule recurring meetings with key referral partners.
- Generate new referral opportunities for the company.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Structure Options:
- Base Salary + Commission
- Draw + Commission
- Commission Only (for experienced candidates)
Potential earnings range from $60,000 to $120,000+ annually, depending on experience and performance.
