Position Overview

Advent Health Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote team. This full-time role will empower you to influence the lives of adolescents and young adults by providing essential therapeutic services within a supportive and dynamic environment. Work Environment

This position offers a flexible remote work setting, enabling you to deliver therapeutic care while comfortably working from your location in Los Angeles, California. As part of an outpatient office structure, you will connect virtually with clients and their families, fostering an environment of compassion and support. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families, proactively communicating to provide support throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions following Advent Health’s clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy framework.
  • Conduct new family orientations, welcome presentations, and support groups to engage families in the therapeutic journey.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with clinical standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, and our electronic medical records (EMR) system to manage client information and communications effectively.
  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings and clinical supervision sessions to collaborate with colleagues and enhance therapeutic strategies.
  • Represent Advent Health in various meetings, training sessions, and conferences as needed to advance professional development and clinical knowledge.
  • Manage your schedule independently, consistently meeting goals and completing tasks efficiently.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adolescents and young adults facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational difficulties. By fostering a supportive and empathetic therapeutic relationship, you will help clients navigate their emotional landscape and develop healthier coping strategies to enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Board registration as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or similar credential in the state of California is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience providing individual, group, or family therapy with adolescents or young adults is necessary.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in mental health treatment focusing on substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed approaches is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities will enhance client engagement and intervention strategies.
