The Sales Consultant is responsible for field-based sales of Protech Medical’s Durable Medical Equipment (DME) product portfolio. This role specializes in selling CPAP therapy equipment and Home Sleep Testing (HST) services while also promoting our other services that include Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and power mobility products such as specialized power wheelchairs. The role involves managing a territory, developing referral relationships, conducting product education, and driving revenue growth.

This is an experienced sales role requiring 2+ years of direct, field-based sales experience. Total compensation for On-Target Earnings (OTE): $85,000 to $125,000+, uncapped. Base salary: $45,000 to $60,000 based on experience. Commission: paid monthly on every setup, uncapped, strong earning potential for a mature territory. This is a commission forward sales role, built for people who want to be paid on what they produce. • Develop and manage relationships with physicians, clinical staff, therapy teams, and healthcare facilities within an assigned territory.
• Conduct field-based sales activities including prospecting, cold outreach, account development, and referral generation.
• Assist healthcare providers and office staff with documentation, prescription processes, insurance requirements, and product selection.
• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan aligned with company revenue goals.
• Maintain accurate reporting of sales activities, account updates, forecasting, and territory metrics.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely patient onboarding, equipment delivery, and service support.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Demonstrated success working directly with healthcare providers.
• Strong consultative selling abilities and communication skills.
• Proven capacity to manage a field territory independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organization, follow-through, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Experience selling DME product lines.
• Established referral networks within sleep medicine, pulmonology, neurology, rehabilitation, or primary care.
• Familiarity with documentation requirements, medical necessity criteria, and payer processes.

• Sales Strategy & Execution - Ability to plan and execute territory strategies to meet revenue goals.
• Clinical Product Knowledge - Understanding, or ability to rapidly learn, clinical applications for DME products.
• Communication & Presentation Skills - Ability to present equipment and services clearly to clinical audiences.

• This role requires daily, local travel within the assigned territory.
• Regular visits to medical offices, clinics, therapy centers, and healthcare facilities.
• Ability to lift and transport demonstration equipment (typically under 25 lbs).
• Standard business hours with periodic flexibility based on provider schedules.

This position is classified as a Mid to Senior-Level medical sales role. It is subject to all company policies, performance expectations, compliance requirements, and HR procedures.
