Job Summary:

Our upscale casual seafood restaurant is seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing seafood, vegetables, sauces, and other items from scratch. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional kitchen, a passion for food, and a strong commitment to quality. Candidate will ensure consistency and quality of all products. This position is available only at our Commissary kitchen located in Sterling, VA.

Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of sauces, seasonings, desserts, etc. from scratch

Ensure all items are prepared according to our recipes and standards of quality

Keep the kitchen area clean and organized at all times

Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

At least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen

Strong knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred:

Experience working in an upscale casual restaurant environment

Knowledge of seafood sustainability practices
