Current Electric is looking for a driven Commercial Solar Sales Consultant who knows how to develop relationships, build a strong B2B pipeline, and close consultative sales.
In this role, you will help businesses evaluate solar, battery storage, and generator solutions that reduce operating costs and strengthen energy resilience. You will own the sales process from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and close.

What You Will Own
Develop New Commercial Business Identify and pursue commercial solar opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and trade events. Build relationships with business owners, executives, and facility leaders.
Manage the Full B2B Sales Cycle Lead opportunities from outreach through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close, with consistent follow-up and a professional customer experience.
Sell Solutions, Not Products Learn each customer's business and energy needs, then recommend the right combination of commercial solar, battery storage, and generator solutions.
Communicate the Business Case Clearly explain project costs, incentives, and ROI so customers understand the financial impact of their investment.
Build Persuasive Proposals Coordinate site visits and work with internal teams to develop accurate quotes and presentations.
Maintain an Organized Pipeline Use CRM and solar design tools, including ServiceTitan and SolarGraph, to manage leads and forecast results.
What We Are Looking For
  • At least one year of successful B2B, commercial, or consultative sales experience
  • A demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close business
  • Experience selling solar, energy, electrical, construction, or other complex solutions is strongly preferred
  • Confidence communicating with business owners and operational decision-makers
  • Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to explain financial value, savings, and return on investment
  • A self-directed, competitive approach and comfort using CRM systems
  • Willingness to attend networking events and occasional evening or weekend appointments
  • Ability to reliably commute to Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, or relocate before starting
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the company's driver insurance policy
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
