Job description

Role: EPC Operations Manager

Location: Vermont

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000

Renewyx is representing a growing solar IPP based in Vermont with an active and expanding portfolio of community and commercial solar projects across the Northeast. This organisation develops and delivers C&I and distributed generation solar projects and is at a pivotal stage of scaling its operations. They are building out the internal systems and structure needed to support a larger portfolio, and they operate with a collaborative, low-drama culture where motivated individuals can have a genuine impact on how the business runs.

They are seeking an EPC Operations Manager to build the operational backbone of their growing EPC function. This is a systems and process-driven role, not a field construction role. You will lead the full rollout and adoption of the company's ERP and construction management platform, design and document workflows and SOPs across EPC operations, maintain an integrated portfolio-level construction schedule across all active projects, and act as the communication bridge between EPC operations and company leadership. You will also manage cross-functional coordination with Development, Finance, and Engineering, and conduct periodic site visits to assess progress, quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

Hands-on experience implementing or administering an ERP or construction management platform is a big positive for this role. The organisation specifically needs someone who has built workflows and written SOPs from scratch, not someone who has only used a system that someone else set up. Candidates without that implementation experience are unlikely to be the right fit.

This is a strong opportunity for a solar operations professional who wants to shape how a growing Vermont IPP runs its EPC function from the ground up, with real ownership, a clear mandate, and a supportive leadership team behind them.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in solar or renewables project or portfolio operations, with C&I or community solar (DG) experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience implementing or administering an ERP or construction management platform, including building workflows and writing SOPs
  • Experience managing integrated schedules across a multi-project portfolio, from NTP through milestones to closeout
  • Strong reporting skills with a track record of translating field and construction data into clear, leadership-ready updates
  • Experience with vendor and contractor management, and familiarity with permitting, interconnection, and AHJ coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Development, Finance, and Engineering teams
  • A collaborative communication style with a track record of building trust across field teams and leadership alike

If this opportunity aligns with your background and career goals, please apply today to be considered.
