Our client, a growing and highly reputable law firm in Houston, Texas, is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney to work closely with the partners in a sophisticated and diverse commercial real estate practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who enjoys handling complex transactions and wants to work on a broad range of high-value commercial real estate matters from initial negotiations through closing.

The firm's extensive real estate experience includes major land acquisitions and sales, commercial development and redevelopment, retail and office leasing, title and curative work, easements and rights-of-way, pipeline easement settlements, multi-tract assemblages, and transactions involving state, county, and municipal agencies. Notable transactions range from the purchase and sale of approximately 100,000+ acres of Texas land to complex right-of-way and rail relocation matters, multi-million-dollar pipeline easement settlements, and significant development projects.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including:

  • Acquisitions and dispositions
  • Commercial development and redevelopment
  • Purchase and sale agreements and letters of intent
  • Title and survey review and curative work
  • Commercial retail and office leasing
  • Easements, rights-of-way, and land use matters
  • Multi-tract land assemblages
  • Transactions involving governmental entities
  • Contract drafting and negotiation
  • Managing transactions from initial negotiations through closing

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience
  • An active Texas Bar license
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills

  • The ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while working collaboratively with a highly experienced attorney and legal team
