About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to lead and scale our Commercial Title platform, including commercial escrow, construction escrow, underwriting, and 1031 Exchange Services.
This role is responsible for endโ€‘toโ€‘end commercial operationsโ€”from process design and technology optimization to training, compliance, and performance metrics. You will partner closely with the President of Commercial Services and senior leaders across the company to standardize workflows, improve efficiency, and deliver a bestโ€‘inโ€‘class customer experience while supporting continued growth and expansion into new states.
This is a handsโ€‘on executive role ideal for a commercial title leader who enjoys building structure, driving change, and developing highโ€‘performing teamsโ€”without losing sight of the bespoke service our clients expect.
What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Lead commercial operations across commercial title, construction escrow, and 1031 Exchange Services
  • Evaluate current workflows, identify gaps and opportunities, and implement consistent, scalable operating procedures
  • Maximize use of SoftPro and related technology; introduce enhancements or outsourced solutions where appropriate
  • Partner with senior leadership to define products, terminology, metrics, and organizational structure
  • Build and implement training programs, onboarding standards, and best practices across the commercial platform
  • Establish and track operational KPIs (productivity, turnaround times, workload distribution, open/canceled orders, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting, escrow, and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions
  • Oversee commitment issuance, policy production, recording processes, document management, and remittance workflows
  • Support multiโ€‘state expansion by leading operational setup, workflow customization, and staff training for new jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with HR on performance management, feedback, and annual reviews
  • Assist with M amp;A evaluations and postโ€‘acquisition integrations
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex customer service or operational issues
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • 10+ years of title industry experience, with deep exposure to commercial operations
  • 3+ years in senior management or leadership roles
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial title, escrow, underwriting, and construction transactions
  • Experience leading process improvement, change management, and operational scaling
  • SoftPro experience strongly preferred
  • Dataโ€‘driven mindset with experience using metrics to improve performance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead crossโ€‘functional teams
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience
  • Title insurance license (or ability to obtain after hire)
Why This Role
  • Executiveโ€‘level ownership of commercial operations with real influence
  • Opportunity to modernize, standardize, and scale a growing national platform
  • Collaborative leadership environment with strong executive partnership
  • Ability to make immediate impact while shaping longโ€‘term strategy
