Job description

Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative

The Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative will provide customer service to an assigned book of commercial lines accounts and assist Insurance and Risk Services providing the following: pulling and reviewing Motor Vehicle Reports, updating Certificates of Insurance, interacting with Commercial Insurance Carrier websites, policy maintenance, and other duties as needed. A clear knowledge and understanding of Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Commercial Lines Insurance coverages is preferred. This position maintains strict confidentiality with sensitive materials.

What You Can Expect
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
  • Benefits Eligible
  • Assist in placing new business and negotiating renewals.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, quoting, and recommending coverages based on client's needs.
  • Initiate interaction and follow-up with clients, carriers, and brokers to produce or manage business.
  • Review insurance contracts for errors and omissions.
  • Process endorsements, placement request, and invoicing.
  • Assist with managing a book of business consisting of various property and casualty insurance products.
  • Maintain an active insurance license and complete required continuing education.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive material and data.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 1 Year Experience with Commercial Lines Insurance Accounts in Lieu of Degree Required
  • Property and Casualty Insurance License within 30 Days Required

Travel is required: Never or Rarely
