Commercial Lines Account Manager


Position Summary:


The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for servicing a portfolio of small to mid-sized commercial accounts while partnering closely with Producers to support new business development. This role ensures a high level of client satisfaction by managing day-to-day service needs, maintaining accurate policy information, and delivering timely, professional support across all aspects of account management.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries related to coverage, billing, claims, and policy changes
  • Manage policy servicing activities including endorsements, renewals, policy reviews, and coverage verification
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to coordinate policy updates and resolve client issues
  • Partner with Producers to support client relationships, address service needs, and identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and policy information within the Applied Epic agency management system, including documentation and file attachments
  • Process and monitor claims, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Assist in remarketing existing accounts by gathering underwriting information and obtaining competitive quotes
  • Support new business efforts by preparing submissions, marketing accounts, and developing proposals
  • Contribute to account rounding initiatives to maximize coverage and client retention
  • Manage billing inquiries and assist with collection of outstanding receivables


Qualifications:


  • Active Minnesota or Wisconsin Property & Casualty license
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial insurance experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverage structures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused approach
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (Hybrid Work Options)
