JOB OVERVIEW:
The Commercial Insurance Account Manager will be part of our division that specializes in large accounts for clients in the senior living industry. The Account Manager will be the primary client contact and will be expected to actively cultivate, improve and cement positive client relationships and use appropriate company resources in performing these functions. While the Account Manager will work with new clients produced by others, the Account Manager will not be expected to develop new business. The Account Manager's main function is to: provide day-to-day client service, manage the renewal process for existing clients, and manage the intake and establishment of new clients.
LOCATION: Alpharetta or Sandy Springs, GA - Hybrid, 3 days a week in-office
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • Experience working for an insurance agency, broker or carrier is required (at least 5+ years of commercial insurance industry experience). Experience working for or with mid-size to large firms, and experience working company risk, contracts, underwriting, and/or insurance policies or claims is also preferred.
  • Candidates with strong, professional communication skills - both written and verbal. Ideal candidates can successfully pivot between providing detailed and accurate written communication, as well as picking up the phone and having a detailed verbal conversation with clients or internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, and the ability to learn and understand software systems quickly.
  • Candidates who adapt well to priority changes, deadlines, and who love problem solving and coming up with solutions and answers to client questions.
  • Excellent team players looking for the next step in their career, eager for a new challenge with room to grow, and to be recognized and compensated accordingly.
  • Candidates with strong communication skills who enjoy being a go-to resource, are adept at handling unique situations with creative problem solving to find solutions (that aren't often black & white), and who aren't afraid to sell the company's expertise and services to clients.
  • Experience working with senior living and/or human services clients preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The account manager will handle day-to-day client issues and questions. A detailed list of job duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Answer client questions and resolve client problems
  • Process and follow up on cancellation notices by insurers to ensure accurate and timely resolution
  • Appropriately document customer service transactions
  • Handle changes in exposure and manage related endorsement and documentation process
  • Forward contract reviews to appropriate resources
  • Forward certificate of insurance requests to appropriate resource
  • Issue Auto ID Cards as needed
  • Create and update account information in the shared database
  • Claims reporting
  • Assist with processing of invoicing and order financing when appropriate
  • Proactively manage the insurance renewal and new business process in accordance with EPIC's timing standards.
  • Pre-complete insurance applications
  • Send request for information to clients
  • Follow-up on collecting information
  • Submit information to insurers
  • Negotiate policy terms
  • Obtain options from competing insurers as needed
  • Prepare insurance proposal including analysis and comparison of options (if applicable)
  • Prepare documentation including invoicing and confirmation of coverage
  • Review and email policies to clients
  • Use agency management system (Sagitta) as appropriate throughout the process

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in working with an Insurance Brokerage.
  • Experience in placing insurance for senior living clients is highly desirable.
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft Office computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires teamwork, demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.

Educational requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred - experience equivalent will be considered
  • Broker's P&C license is required
  • Insurance designation preferred

Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
