We are looking for hardworking, dependable individuals who enjoy physical work and want to build a long-term career in the demolition industry.
Position Summary
The Demolition Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of demolition and site-preparation tasks while working safely and efficiently under the Foreman's direction. This position requires physical labor, attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a safe job site.
Essential Job Duties
  • Perform interior and exterior demolition of commercial and residential structures.
  • Remove walls, ceilings, flooring, roofing, concrete, cabinetry, fixtures, and other building materials.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools including:
    • Jackhammers
    • Rotary hammers
    • Concrete saws
    • Reciprocating saws
    • Circular saws
    • Grinders
    • Pry bars
    • Sledgehammers
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting demolition debris.
  • Sort recyclable materials such as steel, copper, aluminum, and concrete.
  • Assist equipment operators around excavators, skid steers, lifts, and other heavy equipment.
  • Install dust control and debris containment measures.
  • Perform daily job site cleanup and housekeeping.
  • Follow project plans and directions from supervisors.
  • Help maintain company vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
  • Work safely around active construction sites and occupied buildings.
  • Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Complete all assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Construction or demolition experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, dusty, and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to follow OSHA safety regulations.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
This position requires:
  • Frequent lifting of 5075 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday.
  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Working in dusty and noisy environments.
  • Repetitive use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends when project schedules require.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous demolition experience.
  • Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or aerial lifts.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Forklift or aerial lift certification.
  • CDL is a plus but not required.
