Job description

What Makes a FirstCash Security Monitoring Tech.?
The Command Center is the primary point of contact for employees, customers, facilities, security officers, and other vendors for safety and security issues and inquires. The Event Monitoring Technician is responsible for the remote monitoring of our stores via live video/audio. This position will respond to security events in real time by manipulating the store security features to neutralize threats. This includes triggering audio alarms, deploying countermeasures and contacting local emergency responders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 24/7 audio and video monitoring of all First Cash locations in the U.S.
  • When notified of an event, verify live/recorded video feeds to assess situation
  • Partner with local police departments to ensure threats are neutralized
  • Communicate with store management & Security Department post-event as directed by procedure
  • As needed, pull recorded video for management and police to review
  • Troubleshooting and facilitating problem resolution
  • Collaborating with Manager to identify process, quality and equipment improvements
  • Ensuring the safety of First Cash employees and customers by monitoring and responding to events
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work 6AM to 6PM
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone and email
  • Strong customer service skills
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior military technical experience is a plus (a tech related MOS)
  • Must have a strong proficiency with computers and various software; experience with MS Windows Excel and Outlook required; Manitou is a plus
  • Able to work well in stressful situations and handle pressure
  • Strong Ability to multi-task
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential and expected
  • Audio/Video skills & troubleshooting a plus
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, periodic overtime and unscheduled shifts
