Security Operation Command Officer

Security Operation Command Officer

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Objective:

This position is under the direct supervision of the site supervisor and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors.

Essential Functions

Read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public. Maintaining a professional, tactful and courteous demeanor under stressful situations security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports in English as necessary.

Job Duties

  • Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
  • Manage access control.
  • Conduct routine patrols around premises.
  • Respond promptly to security threats and emergencies.
  • Provide incident reports as necessary.
  • Note and report damage or defects to physical security measures
  • Support access control and identity management procedures
  • Ensure adherence to all NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) standards.
  • Provide 24/7 monitoring and response
  • Complete 80-hour training program
  • Support access control and identity management procedures
  • May perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Candidate Qualifications:

  1. 3-5 years of experience (military or former law enforcement preferred)
  2. High School diploma or GED equivalent
  3. Must be 21 years of age
  4. Valid CT State Security Guard License or Certification
  5. Strong Interpersonal Skills
  6. Experience with surveillance systems or access control
  7. Customer service experience
  8. Demonstrated ability to coordinate with a team during emergencies
  9. Proven experience in a 24/7 watch office or emergency response environment
  10. Expertise in security procedures, crisis management, emergency response
  11. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  12. Must have been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration.
  13. Must be a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces OR a U.S. Citizen.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

The applicant must submit to a pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.

The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable).
