Job Description
Bryce Space and Technology is looking for an Source Selection & Acquisition Strategy Support Specialist to provide advisory & assistance services (A&AS) to support a major defense program, focusing on Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition life cycle planning and Space Force systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with the U.S. Space Force, particularly within Space Systems Command (SSC).
The Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDACP) (SSC/SZ), Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) (SSC/BC) provides highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to meet current and projected DoD operational requirements. SSC/SZ-BC develops, integrates, tests, deploys, sustains, and supports operations for systems that meet strategic and tactical operational needs. This mission area requires personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Assist client in executing execute source selections in accordance with FAR 9.505-4
  • Coordinate functional meetings
  • Develop source selection documentation
  • Review and drafting proposal evaluations
  • Support client in executing contracting actions, such as reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs), technical evaluations, advising on contract negotiation and administration, etc.
  • Advise on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
  • MA/MS

REQUIRED Experience Requirements:
  • Over 10 years of relative experience.
  • Contracting Experience with FAR 8.4, 12, 13, 15 and 16.505
  • Knowledge of negotiation techniques and skill in devising negotiation strategies to recommend to the Government Contracting Officer in resolving problems such as reducing cost, adjusting delivery schedules, and negotiating in sole source environments
  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to new acquisition requirements to support innovative, effective and efficient acquisition strategy development and implementation support.
  • Experience in DoD acquisition life cycle planning, including acquisition documentation and milestone processes
  • Experience with U.S. Space Force systems and organizations, particularly within Space Systems Command
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
