Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Command & Control (C2) Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join our innovative team! In this role, you will lead the development of advanced C2 modeling and simulation assets for Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), Anti-Satellite (ASAT), and Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) task orders. You will provide C2-focused threat system representation and analysis to support the threat intelligence and acquisition communities.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading the design, development, and integration of C2 modeling and simulation assets that accurately represent threat C2 behavior for BMD and ASAT scenarios.
  • Implementing and enhancing C2 algorithms, decision logic, and software interfaces using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++, or similar platforms to support comprehensive threat system simulations.
  • Developing scenarios, conducting trade studies, and performing sensitivity analyses to evaluate C2 impacts on threat capabilities, timelines, and overall system performance.
  • Documenting modeling assumptions, system architectures, and results; preparing technical reports, configuration documentation, and briefings for government stakeholders.
  • Providing technical leadership for C2 simulation efforts, including coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, tracking technical progress, and engaging directly with customers to define and meet C2 M&S requirements.

Required Clearance:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience developing command-and-control modeling and simulation capabilities for BMD, ASAT, or similar missile defense mission areas.
  • Proven experience implementing C2 logic and interfaces in software, and integrating C2 models into broader threat or system-of-systems simulations.
  • Strong understanding of C2 concepts, timelines, decision processes, and their impact on threat system performance and engagement outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to government customers and team members.
  • Proficient programming skills in C++, Python, or similar languages.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience serving as a technical lead for C2 simulation projects, including task planning, coordination, and technical decision-making over multi-year efforts.
  • Background supporting intelligence community or missile defense organizations, including BMD, ASAT, and SAM mission and acquisition-related analyses.
  • Familiarity with missile defense architectures, threat system representations, and verification/validation of C2 and system-of-systems M&S.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML techniques and their application within C2 threat systems.
  • Proficiency with software engineering best practices (e.g., configuration management, Git, automated testing) and experience working in Linux, high-performance computing (HPC), or distributed simulation environments.
  • Experience collaborating with radar, sensor, and weapon M&S teams to ensure consistent representation of threat systems within integrated C2-centric simulations.
