The Opportunity:
Come join IGN Entertainment as a Digital Designer to work within our creative solutions team. This role is ideal for a highly creative, detail-oriented designer with strong expertise in static and motion design. You'll concept and execute compelling visuals across campaigns, including ads, site graphics, and animations.
You'll collaborate with global design, project management, and sales teams, contributing creative ideas and delivering polished assets across multiple projects simultaneously.
The successful candidate will need to be self-reliant and confident, whilst being a proactive team player that's keen to maintain the high standards we strive for with each campaign we deliver. Excellent time management and organisation is critical, as is a creative mind and an obsessive attention to detail.
This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA with a requirement to work out of our offices 3 days each week. This role generally follows a standard full-time schedule, but due to the nature of the team and role, this role may be required to work outside of a standard schedule from time to time to attend calls with our global team. No travel is required for this role. This role involves computer based work, which requires regular use of hands and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate creative ideas and concepts for advertising and marketing campaigns
  • Lead the creation of site graphics, banner ads, and motion graphics
  • Design compelling mockups and visual concepts for client presentations
  • Execute projects from initial concept through to final delivery
  • Create branded motion graphics and animations for shows and campaigns
  • Build digital assets using modern creative tools
  • Participate in meetings and presentations to the global team
  • Collaborate with sales teams and participate in client-facing ideation sessions
  • Maintain high visual standards across multiple simultaneous projects

Job Qualifications:
  • The Must Haves:
    • 2-3+ years of experience in digital media or design
    • Strong design skills with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite ( particularly Photoshop and After Effects) along with Figma
    • Proven ability in motion design and animation
    • Strong visual storytelling, typography, and image editing skills
    • Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects
    • Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Understanding of interactive/digital ad formats
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills
    • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
    • A desire to expand your digital design knowledge and learn within a fast-paced publishing environment
  • The Nice-to-Haves:
    • Working knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
    • Experience with Webflow or similar tools
    • Experience working with freelancers or across global teams
    • Experience working across global time zones

Compensation Range:
Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The total salary compensation for this role is $65,000 - $85,000. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
