Comic-Con is one of San Diego's biggest events, and MaryJane's Diner is right in the middle of the action. As a Temporary Server Assistant, you'll help create seamless dining experiences by supporting our Servers and keeping service flowing from the first guest seated to the final farewell.

Your Mission
Support the front-of-house team by anticipating service needs, maintaining a clean and organized dining room, and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience during one of the busiest times of the year.
What You'll Do
✅ Support Servers by delivering food and beverages promptly and professionally
✅ Provide attentive water service and maintain beverage levels throughout the dining experience
✅ Clear, clean, reset, and prepare tables quickly while maintaining exceptional presentation standards
✅ Assist with crumbing tables and maintaining a polished dining room appearance
✅ Transport dishes, glassware, and service items safely between the dining room and dish area
✅ Stock and maintain service stations with silverware, linens, condiments, and supplies
✅ Polish silverware, fold napkins, replenish service items, and keep side stations organized
✅ Maintain cleanliness throughout dining, waiting, and service areas
✅ Respond promptly to guest requests while communicating service needs to Servers and Managers
✅ Work closely with Hosts, Servers, Bartenders, and Culinary teams to keep service running smoothly
You're a Great Fit If You...
Have previous restaurant, food runner, busser, or customer service experience
Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environments
Move with urgency while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
Communicate clearly with guests and fellow team members
Have flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and Comic-Con event dates
