Job description

Job Summary:The Service Writer will perform a variety of service and administrative office support functions under the direction of the Branch Service Manager and Regional Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Branch Fuel & Lube Reports
  • Manage shop & field technician parts returns with Parts Dept
  • Attachments for TSA's
  • Reconciling technician hours
  • Assist with posting travel time and mileage or zone charges for all field jobs
  • Prepare parts & service damage estimates for rental fleet returns
  • Assist with job preparation for technicians
  • Assist in preparing customer estimates
  • Assist in coordinating all factory campaigns between Warranty, Service & Parts Depts
  • Assist in opening and closing internal work orders
  • Coordinate customer communication when machines are complete
  • Assist with weekly yard inventory
  • Update MSDS sheets
  • Back-up role to Shop, Field & Rental Foremen during PTO
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in service or mechanical environment preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficient with a computer, including the use of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and good knowledge of office equipment.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operations and mechanical functions is desirable
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist and carry and lift up to 40lbs.
  • Maintain excellent customer service
  • Must be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen
