About the Role:
Blodgett is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Tech Service Representative to provide technical phone support, equipment troubleshooting, and diagnostic assistance for our commercial oven product lines. Serving as a primary technical resource for field service technicians, Authorized Service Agencies (ASAs), and internal teams, this role helps diagnose electrical, gas, and mechanical issues over the phone-with rare field travel for specialized hands-on repairs or training as needed.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Phone Support & Diagnostics: Field incoming calls from field technicians, service agents, and commercial customers. Guide callers step-by-step through electrical schematics, gas pressures, control board diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
  • Cross-Departmental Support: Provide technical expertise to internal teams-including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales-to assist with product inquiries, field quality feedback, and operational coordination.
  • Specialized Field Support & Training: Provide rare, occasional hands-on support in the field for complex equipment repairs, field audits, or technical training sessions as required.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Maintain accurate records of technical calls, diagnostic steps, parts usage, and customer interactions in our ERP system (Infor CSI).

Qualifications and Essential Functions
  • Technical Background: Experience or strong foundational knowledge in commercial foodservice equipment, HVAC, electrical diagnostics, gas systems, or mechanical equipment repair.
  • Schematic Literacy: Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical service manuals.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional verbal communication with the ability to explain complex technical troubleshooting steps logically over the phone.
  • Systems Proficiency: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (Infor CSI) is a plus.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to undertake rare, occasional travel for specialized field support or training.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
