Job Summary

Comcast Ventures is seeking a Director, Insights & Portfolio Development to sit at the intersection of our investment verticals’ (notably SportsTech) portfolio development and strategic insight functions. This is a hybrid role with three distinct but interconnected lanes: driving our SportsTech investment vertical forward, activating enterprise engagement across the Comcast ecosystem, and generating institutional intelligence that serves both the Comcast team and our partners. You will work closely with founders, VC partners, operating partners across Comcast, and external SportsTech partners. The role requires someone who can operate fluidly across early-stage startups and large institutional partners, communicate with credibility in both environments, and produce work product that is clear, structured, and actionable.

Job Description

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own the operating cadence of our partner program, including agendas, materials, surveys, and follow-through across a defined set of internal Comcast and external sports industry stakeholders including NBC Sports, Sky Sports and several of Comcast’s professional sports League partners.
  • Manage ongoing engagement with a consortium of media, league, and venue partners across the sports ecosystem, including structured touchpoints, information sharing, and joint programming.
  • Build and sustain community across partners and portfolio companies through structured touchpoints, introductions, and shared programming.
  • Route inbound and sourced companies to relevant Comcast business units and external partners with tailored context, and track engagement.
  • Identify emerging investment themes and develop sector presentations and materials for internal and external partner audiences.
  • Produce regular qualitative reporting for partners, synthesizing portfolio highlights, enterprise engagement activity, and vertical developments.
  • Take initial meetings with prospective founders and produce structured first-pass assessments to inform partner review.
  • Represent Comcast Ventures in front of partners, founders, and industry forums.

Experience You'll Bring

  • Recent and relevant experience in venture, portfolio operations, enterprise partnerships, strategy, consulting, banking, or a high-growth operating role with meaningful cross-functional exposure.
  • Direct prior exposure to sports, media, or platform businesses, whether through investing, operating, or partnerships work. A demonstrable point of view on where the sector is going.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce written work product (memos, briefs, decks) for senior internal and external audiences. Writing samples may be requested.
  • Comfort operating across both early-stage startups and large institutional organizations, and presenting credibly in front of senior external stakeholders.
  • High ownership mindset with the organizational capacity to manage multiple active workstreams in a small, fast-moving team.
  • Comfortable with regular domestic and occasional international travel for industry events, partner meetings, and conferences.

Salary:

Primary Location Pay Range: $180,717.01 - $271,075.52

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.


Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
