Job Summary

Summary
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and resolving complex security operations issues within the Security Operations Center (SOC). It requires strong technical expertise in security concepts, programming, web application security, and API integrations, along with the ability to partner with team leaders to identify and close tooling and process gaps. Working experience with platforms such as SentinelOne, Swimlane, Elastic, or Rapid7 is desirable.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations, alert triage, enrichment, and response workflows.
  • Help design and build internal web applications that support security operations.
  • Integrate, configure, and troubleshoot security tools and platforms via APIs to enable seamless data exchange and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and resolve tooling and process gaps that impact SOC effectiveness.
  • Mentor junior SOC engineers and analysts on secure configuration practices, Python-based automation, API usage, and web application security fundamentals.
  • Evaluate, prototype, and recommend new security technologies, integrations, and automation opportunities that enhance SOC capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC processes, runbooks, and documentation related to configuration management and tooling.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of significant technical and operational impact.
  • Take initiative for improvements or bug fixes.
  • Apply data analysis skills to generate insights and support operational decision-making.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
