Job Summary

The Community Relations Department is looking for a creative and driven individual who has a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn. Candidates must be a college junior, senior, or graduate student and enrolled at an accredited university for the duration of the internship. This internship will run through the 2026-2027 Flyers season.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Handle all in-kind charitable donation requests.
  • Track department inventory for signed items, merchandise, and hockey equipment.
  • Assist in logging donations, community events, and team/player events in a CRM database (Salesforce and ApproveForGood).
  • Sort/answer Community Relations mail and email as well as manage incoming calls.
  • Assist in the scheduling and organization of community activation events, in-game programs, and other youth hockey related programs.
  • Organize and assist in Flyers community appearances and promotional events.
  • Attend games and greet and escort guests as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the Flyers in-school assembly program.
  • Help manage implementation of Community Ticket Grant program.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects, adapting to changing schedules, finishing tasks quickly, and meeting deadlines
  • Must be a highly detail-oriented, self-motivated communicator who follows direction and functions well in a dynamic environment
  • Must be available to work evening and weekend hours on an as needed basis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of CRM software a plus, but not required
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds
  • Must have a vehicle or access to a vehicle
