Job Description
A&D Technology is a global leader in advanced test and simulation solutions. Our fast-paced, innovative environment gives every team member the opportunity to make a big impact. The Application Engineer provides A&D test automation application software development and commissioning support of powertrain test cells under little supervision. Provides various technical assistance in support of A&D Sales, Marketing, Product Engineering, Training, and Project Engineering between customer and A&D office.
Primary job location will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Job will require travel, approximately 30%.
Qualifications
Requirements include:
• Bachelor's Degree in BS Engineering and five (5) years related test experience.
• Data Acquisition and Control Software experience. Create, debug and maintain data acquisition control software. Understand and be able to control PID feedback loops.
• Hardware experience. Setup, configure and troubleshoot test and control equipment interfaced to customer equipment.
• Communication Skills. Interface and support the customer and their testing requirements.
• Completion of Assignments. Assume ownership of representing A&D while at offsite customer facility.
Preferred experience includes:
• Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
• Systems understanding of engine testing.
• Software experience with data acquisition, data logging, report creation and evaluation.
• CAN Bus communication with ECU's
Transducers (pressure, flow, speed, torque), signal conditions and calibration.
