Machine Operator – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Shift/ Wage: $22-$22.50 1st and 2nd shift available!


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in a regulated production environment. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, accurately weighing raw materials and active ingredients, and combining materials into blends according to established procedures.

Previous machine operating experience is required; pharmaceutical experience is not required. Candidates with experience operating manufacturing, production, processing, blending, or similar industrial equipment are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable following precise procedures, and able to accurately complete production documentation. Experience working in a regulated or quality-focused manufacturing environment is a plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
  • Perform equipment setup, operation, monitoring, cleaning, and basic maintenance as required.
  • Accurately weigh and measure raw materials and active ingredients used in the manufacturing process.
  • Combine and blend materials according to batch instructions, work orders, and established procedures.
  • Monitor equipment operation and identify abnormal conditions, equipment issues, or production concerns.
  • Report equipment problems, material discrepancies, and other issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete work orders, batch records, production records, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation with minimal errors or corrections.
  • Follow cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs, work instructions, and established manufacturing procedures.
  • Clean and maintain manufacturing equipment and production areas to ensure they remain in good working condition.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and cleaning activities to maintain a safe and organized facility.
  • Complete required cGMP, safety, equipment, and job-specific training within established timelines.
  • Follow detailed procedures precisely to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Perform basic math calculations and measurements associated with weighing and manufacturing processes.
  • Work independently while following established procedures and production requirements.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production schedules and manufacturing goals.
  • Follow all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous machine operator experience is required.
  • Experience operating manufacturing, production, processing, blending, packaging, or similar industrial equipment.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures, work instructions, and batch instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately perform measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to complete detailed production and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to identify and communicate equipment or production issues.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete required training, including cGMP and safety training.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and quality-focused manufacturing environment.
