Responsibilities

Riverside Methodist Hospital | Columbus, OhioPediatrix Medical Group

Join a respected and established pediatric hospitalist team providing newborn nursery care at Riverside Methodist Hospital, one of the largest and most recognized hospitals in Ohio. Located in the vibrant city of Columbus, this opportunity offers an outstanding work-life balance, collaborative physician support, and the ability to practice in a high-volume, well-supported environment.   • Join an established team of pediatric hospitalists providing care in the well-baby nursery
  • Primary practice location at Riverside Methodist Hospital
  • Support from an experienced neonatal team with in-house neonatology coverage
  • Flexible daily schedule that varies based on patient census
  • Home call only with no routine in-house night coverage
  • Collaborative, physician-led environment focused on quality newborn care

Responsibilities
  • Provide care for newborns in the well-baby nursery
  • Perform newborn admissions and daily rounding
  • Conduct circumcisions
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to ensure excellent patient care
  • Participate in shared call coverage taken from home
  • Deliver family-centered care while maintaining high clinical standards 
Practice Details
  • Approximately 6,500 annual births at Riverside Methodist Hospital
  • Average daily newborn census of approximately 25 patients
  • Practice supported by neonatologists and advanced practice providers
  • No pediatric floor or emergency department coverage required
  • Focused newborn nursery practice with strong subspecialty resources available nearby
Qualifications

Ability to obtain OH medical licensure and board eligibility or board certification.
