We are seeking a skilled Large Format Print Operator / Prepress Tech who will own the full production workflow for our Mimaki JFX200-2531EX UV flatbed printer using ONYX RIP and ONYX Production Management software.

This hybrid role is perfect for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who enjoys both technical file preparation and running high-quality large-format output. You will play a critical role in delivering rigid panels, booth graphics, signage, and custom exhibit elements with fast turnaround times required in the trade show industry. Reporting to Graphics Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform prepress tasks including file intake, pre flighting, color correction, color management, scaling, nesting, imposition, and proofing using ONYX RIP software.
  • Operate and maintain the Mimaki JFX2002531EX UV LED flatbed printer, including media loading (rigid substrates), vacuum zone setup, thickness calibration, print queuing, and quality checks.
  • Utilize ONYX Production Management (Hub/Thrive/Align) for job tracking, workflow automation, costing, and reporting.
  • Produce highquality trade show graphics: directtosubstrate prints.
  • Conduct regular printer maintenance: nozzle checks, head cleaning, profile calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with designers, finishing technicians, and the production manager to meet tight trade show deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of jobs, materials used, and production notes within ONYX.
  • Ensure consistent color accuracy and output quality across a variety of substrates (acrylic, aluminum, foam board, etc.).
  • Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 5+ years of handson experience operating largeformat UV flatbed printers (Mimaki JFX series experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong proficiency with ONYX RIP software and ONYX Production Management tools.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Solid understanding of color management, ICC profiles, resolution requirements, bleeds, and printready file preparation.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort with media handling, printer maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with frequent tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or graphics degree a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting trade show, exhibit, or event graphics production.
  • Familiarity with other RIP software (RasterLink, Caldera, etc.) as a secondary skill.
  • Knowledge of trade show materials and finishing processes (lamination, mounting, SEG fabrics).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Location and Commitment
  • Location: Las Vegas, NV
  • Status: Onsite / FullTime
  • Compensation:

$48,000 – $70,000 annually. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience, skills, technical expertise, and other job-related qualifications.

    Comprehensive benefits package offered.
