Job description

Summary

To accurately make and tint batches to color specification by using various quality control instruments and techniques. Also, must be able to accurately make other production batches (not tinted) when needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be able to read all batch tickets thoroughly and have a clear understanding of the production process.
  • Be able to identify raw material codes and have an understanding of what each one is used for.
  • Must be able to learn how the color computer works and how to adjust any variances.
  • Need to be able to visually see color variances on different substrates.
  • Learn general color theory and apply it through our process of adjusting and approving color
  • Work with QC, Operations, Sales, and R&D to satisfy color related issues, including updating process and process development assistance.
  • Follow all safety rules and assure work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and alone.
  • Work with employees to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in all situations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Basic Math skills
  • Must have acceptable color test score
  • Effective communication skills (i.e. verbal, reading and writing)
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Must be self-motivated with high work ethic
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
