Job description

SANYโ€™s Citizenship and Science Academy of Rochester is excited to announce the opening of a Co-Teachers (Grades K-4) for the 2024-2025 school year.ย  As a result, we are looking for Co-Teachers who are eager to support our teachers and students. We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply!ย 

As a Co-Teacher you will:ย ย 

  • Assist with preparation and instructionย 

  • Work closely with small groups of students and provide interventionย 

  • Actively participate in weekly meetings and attend all school-wide eventsย 

  • Implement classroom policies and proceduresย 

  • Lead students to and from specials/lunchย 

  • Effectively manage student behaviorย 

  • Perform other related duties as required and assignedย ย

What you needย 

Qualifications:ย ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or minimum of 2-year degree in related fieldย 

  • Certification preferred but not required.ย 

  • Experience with a diverse population of students or in an urban setting a plusย 

  • Prior teaching experience preferred and novice teachers encouraged to apply!ย 

  • Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Educationย ย
