Job description

Position Summary

Intex Coating is seeking an experiencedScenic Paint Foremanto lead field crews on commercial themed environment projects throughout Central Florida. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising painters, coordinating daily operations,maintainingexceptional quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has experience with scenic and decorative painting techniques, faux finishes, color matching, and specialty coatings, along with proven leadership skills and a commitment to craftsmanship.

This position primarily worksthirdshift (overnight). Candidates must be available to work overnight hours, with occasional daytime shifts based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise scenic painting crews on commercial and themed environment projects
  • Coordinate daily work assignments to maximize safety, productivity, and efficiency
  • Perform hands-on scenic painting, decorative finishes, faux finishes, color matching, aging, distressing, and specialty coating applications as needed
  • Ensure all work meets project specifications and Intex quality standards
  • Conduct daily inspections to verify workmanship and project progress
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, and other field personnel
  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members while fostering a positiveteamculture
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites
  • Monitor materials, tools, and equipment to minimize delays and maximize productivity
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Complete daily reports and provide project updates to management

Qualifications

  • Minimum of2 years of supervisory experienceas a Foreman, Crew Leader, or Supervisor in scenic painting, commercial painting, decorative finishes, or a related trade
  • Experience with scenic painting techniques and themed environments
  • Strong knowledge of decorative painting methods, faux finishes, color matching, and specialty coatings
  • Demonstrated ability to lead crews whilemaintaininghigh-quality workmanship
  • Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and elevated work platforms
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Central Florida
  • Availability to workprimarilythird shift (overnight)with flexibility to work occasional daytime hours when project schedules require
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience working in themed entertainment or immersive environments
  • Experience with:
    • Epoxy coatings
    • Intumescent coatings
    • Electrostatic painting
  • Lead-Safe Certification
  • Aerial Lift Certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and occasional weekends as project schedules require
