As a Security Guard Armed Field Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will respond to site needs with professionalism while supporting a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols while maintaining detailed logs and incident reports.
  • Support assigned post orders by maintaining a visible presence, following use of force and firearms guidelines, and escalating security-related concerns through the appropriate chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
