Job Title: Acquisition Analyst
Department: Land Development and Acquisition
Reports to: Director of Land Acquisition
Status: Full Time / Exempt, Salaried
Job Summary:
The Land Acquisition Analyst will work within a strategic analytics team under the supervision of the Director of Land Acquisition to produce actionable research and best-in-class underwriting support for Academy Development. The Acquisition Analyst will be responsible for conducting market research, underwriting land and lot acquisition opportunities, preparing investment presentations, and maintaining databases and file archives in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ongoing market research initiatives that inform the operational strategy for Academy's future market positioning.
  • Perform underwriting analysis for prospective deals with speed and accuracy, supporting the Land Acquisition team's ability to quickly make informed decisions.
  • Participate in the creation, refinement, and implementation of industry leading analytical tools and develop processes for best practices.
  • Prepare Land Books for proposed acquisition deals that summarize the merits and risks, and investment thesis to be reviewed by the Land Committee for approval.
  • Assist Land Acquisition team members in seeking and securing new land deals.
  • Perform tasks, as assigned by the Director of Land Acquisition.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally, in writing, and through infographics.
