Job description

Tax Analyst

System One is partnering with a client seeking a Tax Analyst to support the company's income tax, general ledger, and tax provision functions. This role is responsible for preparing tax workpapers, journal entries, reconciliations, and quarterly tax provisions while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze tax workpapers, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.

  • Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provisions and tax return preparation.

  • Analyze financial and sales data to support tax reporting and compliance.

  • Maintain monthly general ledger sales data and prepare tax-related cash flow reporting.

  • Coordinate tax credit information, including R&D, charitable contributions, and meals & entertainment.

  • Support federal and state tax audits, respond to tax notices, and assist with tax payments.

  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and other internal teams to support tax reporting, process improvements, and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate income tax, tax provisions, GAAP accounting, general ledger, or a related analytical role.

  • Manufacturing and/or public company experience is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel proficiency.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and ownership.
